No Idea mate, although I'll be surprised if this actualy looks any good when its finished, it wont exactly look as flush as a proper flush boot build.

well it prevent chunks of filler coming out?? and the metal is too thin to weld in a bit of metal cus it might warp the original boot and when your slamming it close all the time will prevent cracking the filler, even if you weld in metal you've still gotta put filler over the top and ive heard it'll look exactly the same and on this boot skin you use minimal filler where the joins are the only reason i thought of this is cus i got advise from my mate who used to work at a body shop

Well if thats the case then go for it mate

It's your car so do what you want, also it might not be that bad an idea if your mate can do it cheap for you. Just personaly I would'nt go through all the hassells when you could just buy an un-sprayed flush boot, which will more than likely look better IMO.

Yup, that will crack and fall off. You need to get a bodyshop to weld a metal plate over the number plate recess, then fill around it and smooth it down, and then fill the holes behind the badges.
    then get it resprayed
