put the volume on the psp full, thats what i need to do

if you are using the usb connection i highly doubt it will work, my psp doesnt play through usb

Has to be through the aux, usb doesnt seem to work.

not your settings on psp? have you set the sound to be comming from your speakers, as you will need to go in and manually change the settings on the settings menu then sound menu
