MK2 to Mk1 spoiler

Any advice on changing a VT Mk2 rear spoiler to Mk1.?

I have read about grommits for the window holes, what are these? Where do you get them from? Do they look stupid with a mk1 on top?

Also how much to spray n fit the mk1 spoiler? Finally I have seen aftermarket ones on ebay, are these as good as genuine ones?

about £70-£80 to spray and fit the mk1 spoiler and you can get the grommets from halfords. no experience of the ebay spoilers tbh.

I have a mk1 spoiler on my mk2..looks loads better and its from ebay. Got mine brand new had it put on bout 2years ago and still in perfect condition!

Might be able to get a second hand one now, how easy is it to fit? Or is it worth paying body shop?

Do you need to bond it and bolt a Mark 1 VTR spoiler? Do the gromits look crap n leak? Was going to get windows tinted too, is that a prob?

Anyone able to give me advice, much appreciated.

put some clear sealer or nail varnish onto the grommet when puttin them on, wont leak

spoiler can be sealed on with Tiger Seal, top stuff and wont come un-done

Cheers mate, can you use tiger seal alone or do you have to have the bolts too?

my gfs is on with tiger seal and had no problems in over two yrs,still solid

How do you hold it down when its glueing? I dont have a garage...
