Gear box again

   can anyoen tell me the syptoms of a broekn gear box or diff unit . my car is making a very loud clunking noise but at only a certain point of rotation on the wheel it gets worse with speed im not sure if gearbox because selecting gears is not a problem nd ther is no whining noise form the diff . as for drive shafts replaced one 2day with new oil nd seals nd still si the same ? can anyoen relate to this or any ideas on what it could be . thanks

   which side is the clunking noise coming from and which side driveshaft did you replace ?? and by rotation of the wheel you mean steering wheel?

   its the driver seide drive shaft nd i mean the actuall wheel its fine in nuetral this clunking noise is not ther but wen under load its quite bad . inner velocity joint i thought it may of been so i replaced drive shaft bt its still the same nd i need this sorted asap selling it on tues . thanks
