Removing abs?

  1. #1
Basically, 2 or more of the abs sensors are dead on my vts, so rather than spending money on replacing them, i'm thinking about ditching the full abs setup instead, seeing as how I prefer cars without it anyway. I have bigger brakes on the front of the car anyway, before anyone states that saxo brakes aren't all that great. Since the engine is currently out, and the car stripped, it seems the ideal time to do it whilst there is easy access to everything.

I understand that it is not just a case of taking the fuse out to disable the system though, so the question basically is what needs to be removed?

    Abs pump
Standard master cylinder - swap to 4 port (being upgraded to 23mm anyway)
    ABS wheel sensors
brakelines need remaking to suite 4 port MS

Is there anything alse that needs to come off or be changed at all?

    Thanks

    i removed abs pump.
kept the standard MC, the T-pieced 1 port to the front brakes
the the other port ran from MC to bias valve, then T-pieced into rear brakes.
