gloss effect high temp paint

   im currently in the process of painting my engine and rocker covers red. i have high temp red paint in a rattle can but its very powdery finish and is very dull. Not even laquer would bring it up shinny.
   
   
   basically need pointing on in the direction of glossy red high temp paint. would brush on caliper paint be one of my only options?
   im trying to avoid brush on down to nothing but bad finished products

   ive used hamerite before but it couldnt withstand the heat

   i used a red high temp paint from euro parts mate, think it was simoniz. did about 4 coats and then a couple of laquer and came out looking really good. Have pics on my thread if you want to look

   i used standerd car paint on my rockers and they look mint heat hasent touched them bud

   Used normal rattle cans on mine as well, and it's fine.

   hmmm, well i have done the rockers using a rattle can, but im using red hamerite for bottom end
