number plates

   I was wanting to get some metal number plates for my car and im just going to buy them off the site saying there for off road use as i cant be arsed with the hassle of sending in my documents of the car.
   
   If the police stopped me and saw my plates didnt have the place of purchase underneath the reg number would i get done?

   In short,yes. Hence why they are for show use only.

   you wouldn't get done for not having where u bought them, you would get done because the layout and design of the number plate was illegal.
   
   some fonts make letters and numbers look like others, so its like driving without a correct number plate.
   
   size effects it too, if the plate is too small, then you'll get done too. its all part of the mot test.
   
   your not even actually allowed a cartoon or picture on the side of your number plate legally...

   na but they will be legal font spacing and size and the GB sign on the side of the plate, except you cant get the manufactures address underneath which you can only get if you send in the documents to them.
   
   ive seen loadsa people on here with them on dunno if there legal though nd if you would get done
   
   and devoner if you knew wat i was actually on bout then you wouldnt give the sarcy comment

   no i havnt got them yet, but iv seen them on a few cars on thsi website and really like them, there metal pressed with the F underneath the euro stars symbol.
   
   thinking of getting them of craigsplates which someone on here told me about

   theyre illegal with the F, because your not driving in france, pretty self explanatory really. The GB ones you need to send documents, none have the place you purchased name underneath. Hope that helps
