#2Yes it can do mate. When the friction lining on the clutch wears over time, the total thickness of the plate getts thinner. So as the plate is thinner, it has further to travle to engage againts the flywheel.

#4It depends on where you look. For a 1.1 they wont be that expensive. You could ask on the forums here even. But ive just seen a clutch kit on ebay for not much at all.

#6you can adjust the biting point yourself under the bonnet theres a cable ontop of the gearbox just screw that up a little for the time being but yes it is a sign that the cluth has had some use...
