stripping alloys

If i wanted to start to refurb my alloy from scratch, could i nitromorse and then prime straight away on bare metal?

I've heard etching primer is better then normal primer, but as long as you get all the paint stripper off then yes.

would this be easier than sanding them?

I've found that nitromorse only takes off the original paint and laquer, not the original primer, so you will have to do a bit of sanding, or get a wire brush on the end of a drill.

iv just done mine mate i used nitromorse does the job just paste it on with a paint brish let i buble then get some brass brushes they are only cheap and they go on the end of your drill, then all you do is just blast all the top layer paint away (wear goggles) then once you are saticfied that you have took some off just keep re- aplying the nitormorse and after 3 atemts you reach the bear metle not hard rely mate very easy tbh then just get ready to paint them, im doing mine 1 by 1 aswell so i dont take them all off the orther ones are in my garage take me a few days like but dosent mater hope it goes well mate

Why bare them back? all we do at work is repair the damage and scotch the rest of the wheel. The only time they get stripped is if we choose to powder coat, which then they got sand blasted.
