#2remove them all together! improves security and look better too.
-
#3how does it improve security
-
#4best not to say on here really
but you cant get broken into as easily -
#5are the original yellow ones crap then where should i get new and better ones from
-
#6best thing you can do is pop the door card off and remove the pin from the lock.. then get some rubber grommets for the door cards.. or you could just get some chrome silver ones with blue flashing LEDs in them from ebay..Quote:are the original yellow ones crap then where should i get new and better ones from

#7I would defo advise just taking them out all together too mate!
-
#8get rid, definately
-
#9so get rid of both yellow locks how would i replace them thinkin bout gettin silver or red ones on ebay
-
#10they are trying to say just depin it ! it looks better and is safer
-
#11how do i do tht though
-
#13get rid of them mate! will look alot better and alot harder to brake into the car
-
#14depin (people can bend your drivers door and pull the pin up opening the central locking) no point trying to be secretive about it, its pretty well known
if not, get ones that are flush with the door cards when u lock the door (that way they cant pull them up)
DEPIN LOOKS BETTER -
#15I like the yellow ones
-
#16depin,also you can lock your mates in your car and have fun
-
#17i'd definitely approve of getting rid of them, the guide on here is good and makes it a 5 min job for both.
Better for security and once you've got a plug in the hole, looks nice and flush too (: -
#18It does look good,
but to be fair, even if you de-pin your doors, its still just as easy and fast for someone to lob a brick through the drivers window and climb in... lol -
#19On my saxo you can only open the passenger door with the doorpin! maybe i could just depin one.... lol
-
#20depin them then put grommets in place of the 2 holes
theres a how to guide on this use that -
#21Question. I Have no central locking but want to depin my doors..How do i combat having to get out the car and go unlock it from the passanger side any time i pick a passenger up? Thanks
-
#22Anyone know of where you can get those flush ones? or has anyone cut theres down if so any pics? please
cheers -
#23i think the whole idea is the drivers side central locking would also open the bootQuote:It does look good,

bad times if youve got a nice system in there, yes they can pull the back seats forward but its a lot harder to get to things ect
but ultimately, even if you have an alarm, they could brick your window and nick your HU before your even wake up -
#24Not if you go with my idea
HOCK THE ALARM SYSTEM TO THE SUB AND ENTIRE ICE SYSTEM!
Tyr to nick my car or even the dust caps
Your gonna be deaf and I wont need to call the police, everyone in the radius will call for me While I laugh at the deaf thug
Dragons den here I come -
#25i think the whole point of this is that he doesnt have an alarm so thats why to de-pin, if you've got an alarm it should go off as soon as the reach in so the de-pin wouldnt add that much security but still looks betterQuote:Not if you go with my idea

some people also put the alarm LED in the grommit where the pin used to be (that looks pretty cool aswell) -

But i dont have central locking so it's alll good haha! -
#27i never removed my door pins because when your driving around dodgy areas i like to have me door locked and you cant push them down when theres nothing to push.
