best thing you can do is pop the door card off and remove the pin from the lock.. then get some rubber grommets for the door cards.. or you could just get some chrome silver ones with blue flashing LEDs in them from ebay..

I would defo advise just taking them out all together too mate!
  8. #8
    get rid, definately
  9. #9

get rid of them mate! will look alot better and alot harder to brake into the car
  14. #14
depin (people can bend your drivers door and pull the pin up opening the central locking) no point trying to be secretive about it, its pretty well known

if not, get ones that are flush with the door cards when u lock the door (that way they cant pull them up)

    DEPIN LOOKS BETTER

    I like the yellow ones
  16. #16
depin, also you can lock your mates in your car and have fun
  17. #17
i'd definitely approve of getting rid of them, the guide on here is good and makes it a 5 min job for both.
Better for security and once you've got a plug in the hole, looks nice and flush too (:

    It does look good,
but to be fair, even if you de-pin your doors, its still just as easy and fast for someone to lob a brick through the drivers window and climb in... lol
  19. #19
On my saxo you can only open the passenger door with the doorpin! maybe i could just depin one.... lol
  20. #20
depin them then put grommets in place of the 2 holes

theres a how to guide on this use that

Question. I Have no central locking but want to depin my doors..How do i combat having to get out the car and go unlock it from the passanger side any time i pick a passenger up? Thanks
  22. #22

i think the whole idea is the drivers side central locking would also open the boot

bad times if youve got a nice system in there, yes they can pull the back seats forward but its a lot harder to get to things ect

but ultimately, even if you have an alarm, they could brick your window and nick your HU before your even wake up

Not if you go with my idea

HOCK THE ALARM SYSTEM TO THE SUB AND ENTIRE ICE SYSTEM!

Tyr to nick my car or even the dust caps

Your gonna be deaf and I wont need to call the police, everyone in the radius will call for me While I laugh at the deaf thug

    Dragons den here I come

i think the whole point of this is that he doesnt have an alarm so thats why to de-pin, if you've got an alarm it should go off as soon as the reach in so the de-pin wouldnt add that much security but still looks better

some people also put the alarm LED in the grommit where the pin used to be (that looks pretty cool aswell)

i never removed my door pins because when your driving around dodgy areas i like to have me door locked and you cant push them down when theres nothing to push.
