Meant to stop stone chips and alike but can cause small swirl marks if grit gets inbetween the bra and bonnet.

As said they are to prevent stone chips. They look good on some cars but they can afect the paint work. Need to be removed from the car when washing really, more pain than they are worth imo.

prevent stone chips but seem to go along with the old golf mk 2 euro style cars, i think if done right and on a euro style saxo, could look nice otherwise leave them off car

My saxo is low and the front bumper is chipped to fuck but none on the bonnet so i dont see the point really.. they look stupid on a low styled front end.

they are shit, i spent a lot of money haven a front end re-spray, polished the car, fitted the bra on the car on a good nice day, took it off after 10 minutes and because it moves slightly it scratched the shit out of the bonnet.

    They look stupid..
My uncle had one on his golf and it really does scratch your paintwork. Not recommend
If you dont want stone chips on your bonnet dont drive to close to cars

they say on them to only use for short periods of time, and not leave on permanently. alot of people do leave it on permanently and it scratches the bonnet. ftl

ive got one, dosent fit too well either
  13. #13
think also you cant keep it on for a long period of time, as it can give two shades of colour on the bonnet due to the colour not covered fading in the sun

The answer to the question you should have asked is:

    Mk1 - fo' sure.
    Mk2 - fo' real???

My mk2 one seem to be a really good fit imo (Picture is on autobra's site)

i sold it due to it scratching my bonnet, they did polish out but they scratch if you dont take them off and wash them, i would wash them in machine tbh but put it in a pillow case to stop the leather being damaged from the drum

As said they stop stone chips, which they do work as the dront of the bonnet is were most of the chips occur, they do them for the bumper too
