exhaust problem

   I need a gasket that goes between the down pipe and the cat on a mark 1 westcoast, as far as i knew that part of the system was standerd, now citreon have given me the part matched to my vin number and its wrong, its the same size as the cats diameter so no way it will fit over. Citreon have told me that they cant help as it isnt standerd

   have you tries CAS etc?

   never herd of that, im not too sure what part i need, cant take it to quick fit as they wont touch my car

   This is what citreon gave me, the knacked gasket ive got is about half the height of it, and has like a lip aswell

   That's the right gasket, It goes inside the Pipe around the lip I think, I changed my cat a few weeks ago and thats the same gasket i used

   dosnt fit on mine tho, citreon said every model had a differnt gasket

   hmm to be fair ive had problems with this myself. i think theres 2 different sizes of fire ring.
   
   pak it full of exhaust sealant haha
   
   
   maybe buy one from a different motorfactor and put the different 1 back. keep your recipts

    thats been done with the old gasket in, i really wanted a new one as all the mounts and clamps have been replaced last week
