Having a number of issues with my VTS, not sure if they're all normal coincidences or something more torublesome may be going on:
Engine Management Light - Came on after I decatted the car. I had the light turned off and fitted a lambda sleeve but it's come on again, only about a month after having the light turned off. When I had the light turned off, two codes were thrown up: 1) Unknown Code 2) Code 0606 - Powertrain Control Module....ECU.
I've been told that Code 0606 is normal when the cat has been removed.
Secondly, I've noticed the car is pretty lumpy on cold start idle; doesn't stall but just hunts a bit then seems to clear itself and purrs away. I removed the fresh air/EGR type system and imo it's never been as smooth on cold idles since.
Are these all just normal sypmtoms of an 8 year old hot hatch or is something up shit creek?
Once the car is warmed up it pulls really nicely and it's been returning about 39MPG with mixed (motorway, town and ragging) driving.
Any ideas?
