Replacing manifold heatshield

  1. #1
Replacing my old one with a new painted one, I know there is 4 bolts to unscrew but you've got the wiring (presumably the lambda sensor wire?) in the middle and I'm just wondering how you go about disconnecting that so you can take the old one off and replace with the new...

    Any help appreciated

good question, one i want to know

also, where did you get the painted one from?

heard that the paint fades within days if you paint it yourself with heat resistant paint

Brought a new one from Citroen, and sprayed with heat resistant paint - couple of coats. Will soon find out if it fades lol.

I just removed the lambda sensor when i done mine, easy job with one of these.

how do you do it though? I'm useless when it comes to stuff under the bonnet lol. Do you have to disconnect the battery aswell?

Someone must of had this part off to either replace or fit an aftermarket manifold :x

Unplug the Lambda sensor 1st then I think its a 22mm socket like the one shown, wire brush the thread 1st then spray wd40 on.

Apparently you just disconnect the lambda sensor at the little green box, then slide the heatshield over the top and then reconnect.................
