mite not look like it but it hasn't got a finish on it, just the base coat when new.
was thinking of painting it with flip paint, what do u reckon?

You mean that this is a replacement bonnet that's supplied in black?
If that's the case, the black is not the same colour as the car, it's just there as a temp measure to stop the metal rusting and to show scratches and dents more easily.
Any (and every decent bodyshop) should sand this down to near metal before painting it in primer.
