Leccy window wires come off. Pulley problems :( help me

  1. #1
Alright, well to put things short I fucked up.

I was wiring in a tweeter and I wanted to get it through at the top and I couldnt find the cable, so I moved the electric window motor, it was okay, then as I was screwing it back in, the wires twisted and came off the spindle.

I couldnt get them back on, so I just took the motor out for time being, to then find the window goes down on its own accord. Bunged a piece of wood in there just to hold it up for now. But one of the 'wires' in the orange covering, the one that goes to the bottom has come out entirely!

I desperately need help to get this 'wired' back in as such. Any tips? If I can't do it, I will be taking it to a garage as I could do with a moving window.

Wasnt really the wrong section tbh, but ill move it to problems and queries

    Anyway onto your question

There an absolute nightmare to get back on, it took me about 6 hours to get the cable back round and all sorted out, jsut go back to it with a fresh head in the moning kind of what i did and got it done eventually

im guessing its come off all the pully's too on the bars ??

    Thanks Pred.

Move it as you see fit, but I notice its still in same area.

I am used to Pug306 where the problems are split into sections, rather than having sections and then 1 forum for problems if that makes sense!

Anyway, how do I get the cable back onto the bottom pulley? Is there anyway to bringing it upwards to get a better line of sight to it, or is it a case of using mirrors aha.

I will have a fiddle with it when I can be arsed to get myself out of bed, its too early on a Sundya to even be awake yet. Is it easier to screw it back in, then try twist the cables around, or should I hold it close, get the wrapped back around, get someone to hold the cables in place and screw it back into position..?

I took the window out and door seal, helps a bit for you to look down

I tried that pred, and failed.

both wires have come off the pulleys and out of their like holders if that makes sence.

Got to somehow, wrap them back around the pulley inside the door, lock them back in position, then onto the motor itself and screw that in.

I cant do it, haven't the patience. Anyone want to lend a hand...?

Expensive garage quote I think ?
