I also dnt know how to take off my grill and wht to do about it looks reli bad atm with white patches on it cause its old. Also i need to change the linkages as well i think cause its reli stiff changin gears dnt know how much this would cost and how much changin them would be and everythin. Not sure about the whole exhaust 2 i just fetched car from garage they recently put a whole new one on because it rusted off now when i run my car its alot louder dnt know if thts cause its a better exhaust and everthin. Also not sure bout the benifits off gettin a new cluth and how much it would cost. Lastly i just got some wicked red paint from halfords the cratch and chip set just wondering if his reli works. Thanks alot will apreciate any answers to my quiestons dnt expect them all to be answered.

    Hello mate,
Some pictures would really help in this case, for the bump strips i'd say back to black should work fine, but have you considered colour coding the car? this would hide the mentioned marks.

The grill comes off quite easily, there are about 7 or 8 torx screws to undo from the underside and it'll just pop off.

The exhuast if it has been changed should be fine, You should be able to tell if its been recently done as it'll look quite clean and still very silver. However if it is louder than originally it could be blowing...
get underneath and have a listen to see if theres any noise coming from the joins in the pipes, these are spring tightening i believe and sometimes require as second look.

As for halfords touch up sticks, I have one for mine in black, does the job as well as can be expected. However stone chips on the bonnet happen so much sometimes a re-spray is the only way to make it look respectable...

    Hope that help a bit.

If u got any chips in the car u can get like chip putty and u could put that on then put the paint over the top. Clutch prices vary depending where u get one from and where u get it fitted etc but they can cost up to 100 pound or more and u can get them of eBay if your on a budget. If the White marks are not that bad then u shouldn't worry about it to much tbh pictures will help

Gear linkages are about £40 iirc. Easy to do - just get under the car and pull old ones off and clip new ones on in their place.

You'll only need a new clutch if the old one is worn and/or slipping. Standard clutch kit costs around £80 from a motor factors, fittings probably £100-200 depending where you go.

Halfords paint chip thingys work ok, but colour match is sometimes a bit off.

The marks on the plastic - try heating up the side strips with a hot air gun and working some plastic trim restorer in to them. Jus be carefull not to melt the plastic. See in the cleaning and car care section faq's for a guide
