new prob driveshaft had a little

    accident when lowering the gear box for clutch change some how i have managed to split the gaitor on the drive shaft how much is it likely to cost if i do it my self and is it a big job?

    is it inner or outer? my inner ones are split and it doesnt seem to make any difference

    the inner i think one closest to engine sorry im newb with all this still learning lol

    yeah thats inner, as i said mine are both split completely and theyre fine

    you will have to see if it has created any damage to the joint inside if not then it will be ok for a while but you dont want to leave it un lubricated and unprotected for to long, if it is an inner though its not an mot faliure, if youre worried about that.

    i was told the inner is an mot failure if its leaking grease and replaceing the inner means a whole new driveshaft which isnt cheap really
