    For real?

You need to do some reading. if you dont know what mega squirt is then you shouldnt be asking questions about turbos and superchargers

You do know what turbos and superchargers are.....Right ?

A bit of a harsh reply.

I'm sure a company will still be happy with his business regardless of his knowledge in to a T/C, S/C or what a Megasquirt is.

A few people have said that new people have got shot down badly and I have been mindful about that since.

I got a similar reaction on a Spurs forum, they were sure that I was using a re-registered account because I was good with banter.

I don't use it anymore and that may happen on here. So for now I will give new people the benefit of the doubt and that they are learning, like I once was. Because you know something and other people do it doesn't mean that everyone does.

I can partially agree with what your saying that slating shouldn't really be done, but I think it's the fact that there is a clear sign saying read first for the FAQ section, a simple google of megasquirt would of answered his question. Be nice if the OP could provide a little info and then member on here can give him for help.

id like to see where you get it for this price, unless you mean 2nd hand shite, a dp manifold is 800 on its own, and management will take the rest of your budget with a map

thats not counting your 3 headgaskets by the looks of your basic setup?? a decomp plate is a good 200,, then youve got yer turbo, all yer pipes etc,

would be 2k doing the setup yerself, with sum1 making you a copy manifold, and dont expect ehe basic setup to last long

imho , i thnk the answer to this question would be read up on it, there are pros and cons to T/c S/c, i would say the turbo route if you plan on doing anything yerself, as mounting a s/c is stupid, but have a spare 2 or 3k for a shite setup, and between 7 and ten for a good forged setup, pistons and rods are a grand, reground crank, 150, funky head, can be anything depending on how much you'd like done, then the rest including labour, its not cheap mate, and not advisable unless oyu have money to waste, or really love your car

youve already got a vtr, so go for the quick fix for the time being, and get a 16v setup, if you wanna stretch, have a cammed on, but learn to drive first before you want a fast motor
