radiators

  1. #1
why is the mk1 vtr rad larger than the mk2 and is the thermostate the same????
  2. #2
because they realised that they could get away with a smaller radiator due to it not getting as hot as a VTS, so it cut manufacturing costs down.
  3. #3
    will a mk1 rad fit a mk2!?
  4. #4
yup. but its best to put a vts or diesel rad and header tank.

Hmm interesting standard upgrades! i mean using the best from each model to make yours better, it quality& notoo expensive either

thats on the shoppin list for when i need a rad then! VTS or deisel with headder tank, ratty woy does the header tank do!??

well a std non diesel rad has a cap with header tank built in, on a diesel rad it doesnt have this so you need a seperate tank/header to fill up the rad.

It basially means you get a rad which is total size of front for cooling without a space taken up for the header

ratty do you know what the standard water temp should be on the petrol engine???
  8. #8
std thermostat opens at 88 degrees
