Which spark plugs?

  1. #1
Will soon be doing a service on my VTR, just wondering what the best plugs are as there are about ten different ones on EuroCarParts with bosch being cheapest, ngk second and denso third (Denso also being about twice as much per plug)

So is there really a difference between brands and is there any reason for not just buying the cheapest ones possible? (exceptions on high performance engines obviously)

just go for some ngk standard plugs

NGK seem to be the most popular mate go for them

Go for single electrode efforts from either Bosch or NGK. Don't forget to check the gapping is set correctly.

Yeah my dad told me I need to do that, how do I do that?

You need to know the recommended gap between the centre and ground electrode (Haynes will tell you), then use a feeler gauge to check to see if the gap needs to be opened up slightly or reduced slightly.

Multi electrode wont give you any performance gain!
They will last longer though!as the spark will always take the shortest path to earth
