Legal Tints

    Has anybody got a picture of their car with the front windows tinted but only to the legal limit

    No tints are legal on the front anymore mate

    When i got pulled for my tints the Police woman Used a device to show how much light was being let through!

    She said it should Register above 75...

    It showed 22...

    Although you seemed to be abel to see really clearly "Out".. It was hard seeing "In"..

    Im guessing any sort of extra tint will take the light below 75 so thats why all tints are illegal?

    I'd get a very light tint if you were doign it.

    remember windows already have a slight tint to them probably 10-15% as standard, if you open the window halfway you can see this clearly. even if tints did exist that were light enough to keep your fronts over 75% they wouldnt even be worth putting on.

    majority of windows have a tint.
    ther was a lad down here, who had a Clio sport, from Manafature, had tints on the front window which was something stupid like 3% over the limit.

    as he argued that it wasnt tint, it was like that from new, even showing there was no film to peel off, it was actually dark GLASS!
    car was impounded... chap complained, Renault then sent a letter to the police. arresting officer had to pay impound fees.

    but point is, pretty much no tint on the front is legal.
    even ultra light smoke, is too much
