Stretched saxo limo?

  1. #1
    Has anyone ever done one?

What work would be needed to stretch a saxo?

Obvious things (apart from the extra bodywork) would be longer/repsitioned exhaust, longer brake lines, wiring for rear lights etc, but what else would be needed???

    Serious answers only please.....

probs need to re enforce a lot of the chassis as it would put a lot of strain on it.

please tell me this is a new project

Not sure but i know it would be much easier to do it with a 4 door saxo, straight cut in the middle, few metal sheets and stuff. Wiring, brake lines, exhaust and your done lol

Probably end up like Jeremy Clarksons car on top gear though lol

vt kit wouldn't be that much work tbh not much more than fitting one to a 5 door etc, just cut and plastic weld the parts u needed together

Once you made it (spent lots of cash) would you drive it ? =\
  11. #11
lol, it would be funny explaining that to the insurance.

To make it a little longer (4 foot) is in theory not that hard if you're handy with the welder and have got 2 cars to use. It only gets complicated when going seriously long.
Although I've never done one, I used to work in a BMW bodyshop, so PM me if you want specifics...

can someone do a photoshop of it to see what it would look like, if you were using a 3 door you would have some issues around the door i tihnk and with the saxo lines i think it would be hard to do unless your a good fabricator
  14. #14
serious answer, why would you want to do this?
  15. #15
that would be so funny to see i wud piss myself

i have a 5 door if needed craig sensible offers accepted. lol

the roof may be an issue? would need strengthening because surely it could 'sag' towards the centre?
