engine problem

    have problem with engine, firstly have a white smoke smelling very petrol like coming from the top breather just before the throttle bod, car seems to not pull aswell now, had a compression test, and cylinder 1,2 and 4 are 190psi but cylinder 3 is only at 160 psi, so im losing a little compression, am now lost at wat the problem could be, bin to a couple garages and had mixed answers, some say valves one said a stuck ring?????????? any ideas out there

    Low compression could be piston rings, If youve got fuel smelling mix coming out of the cam covers sureley itdd be valves/stem seals leaking? Dont know enought about it tbh.

    could be piston rings, fuelcould be getting past into sump, then back up a journal, hence the breather smelling, or could be a valve problem as u say, going to be takin engine out over next couple weeks to find out the problem, anyone ever had anything like thisbefore ?????

    however much i dont want to say it, my 16v is like this just now, ive got some shitty petrol reak coming from my breather, my car is overfueling just now, and i think the rings are fucked, im gunna just drive it, sort out my sensor/fuellng problem, give an oil change, and see how i get on from ther, cos i dont have nothing for taking a compression test as of yet

    take it to a garage m8 they shouldnt charge to do a test for you,
