Important! : Peco Exhaust and DECAT

    Yo there, just need a little help, im thinking of putting a peco back box onto my vtr and just wanted to know how loud and harsh the sound is cause i want something that makes a nice noise but only when i boot it and not when im tryin to reverse in tescos and everyone looks rounds and thinks NOB. Also my mate wants to know what power gain/benefits a decat pipe will do for his mk1 vtr running a scorpion back box. Cheers

    peco box on my 1 4 was not that loud, loud under the hard pedal but thats all

    decat will give more top end of the revs power but less lower down...

    mate a had a cat back peco on my old vtr and it sounded the tits, gives off a really nice rasp

    ive got a peco cat back exhaust on my vtr, although im finding it difficult to fatham out how to decat it. its the annoying version with the 2lambdas and cat in mani...anyone any ideas?? pecos not too loud, nice tickover!

    dont know if you have an aftermarket manifold.

    But i had a GMC 4-1, full straight through pipe and a Peco 4" slash cut (for sale) rear box, got a supersprint race back box now.

    but here is how it sounded with the peco.

    It was canny loud tbh, had the "loudest" saxo in the north east for a while.

    Even with the interior in it was still loud, but more of a loud hum.
