c2 vts,307 110hp,saxo vts head questions.

    hello everyone.

1)does the C2 VTS has bigger values then the 307\206 110 hp head?
if not,i can use the 206\307 head with my saxo jp4 cams and everything..

2)Does the C2 VTS has better cams, spirings, value "cups" then the saxo vts?

i am running boost on my 106 with a j4 ENGINE and soon i want to replace the head with the best head i can build with normal peugeot\citroen parts.

    thanks everyone!

I know the springs are bigger on the C2. Not neccesaily a better cam because they both put out the same-ish horsepower. Seems like people take the head from the c2 and put it on there S, only thing is the c2 heads cost a bit.

And a C2 head on a VTS will give what kind of gains?

Do they fit on a "R"?

The exhaust? (I think) valves are bigger on JP4 head. Use Saxo vts J4 springs and otehr internals as they are stronger than the JP4 stuff.

C2 vts head is same as 307/other c2 heads as far as i'm aware. Just the inlet manifold which is different.

Saxo J4 cams are slightly different lobe spacings than the JP4, but plenty of people have been running saxo cams in a C2 head without problems

Better flow. Like using a big valve head, but cheaper. But equally not as good as using a big valve head as only one set of valves are enlarged in the JP4 head.

And no, they wont fit on a VTR block - 16v only

    Great !

so i will get a 110 HP head and will take all the parts from my j4 head.

i will use a metal C2VTS inlet manifold as well!!

i heard that the screws of the inlet to the head are allwise brake,is that true? what will i do to stop this from happning? (:

tap the head, and fit the gti/vts inlet instead, its better than the c2, and use j4 head internalls, should see good gains

can drill and tap extra holes in the top of the c2 inlet to help support it and stop the lower bolts breaking. Or do as above and use the saxo inlet.

If using the c2 inlet, you need to use the saxo throttle body, as the saxo unit uses a throttle cable, whereas the C2 uses a fly-by-wire throttle

Which exhaust manifold do you use thought? Will the saxo one fit?

yeh, sure the exhaust porting is the same

hey, will the saxo throttle body will fit the c2 inlet? or maybe i will fit a bigger throttle body from any other nice motor? (like fiat cupe or something?)
anyone knows about a throttle body upgrade to the c2 inlet?

i run on HALTECH E11 EMS so its not a problem to fit any throttle body i want to the managment.

Be good to see some back to back testing on this setup (JP4 head on a J4 bottom end and cams).

Pretty sure it's the inlet valves that are bigger on the JP4 head; 3mm.

saxo throttle body will fit C2 VTS inlet, but you need to make an adaptor flange to fit at and also cable guides to hold the throttle cable in place.

GMC motorsport sell an adaptor for around £50 gbp, but you still need to weld cable guides on.

GMC also sell a larger 55mm throttle body that is a direct fit for around £200 which uses the saxo throttle cable. Fits straight on with no further modification. This is what I will be using.

Not a bad price. I've seen them for between £150 and £250.
    I payed less for mine

jp4 head with c2 vts inlet and gmc 55mm tb is the way to go for boosted engines.
