headlight prices :s

hi all
after seeing a saxo the same colour as mine (posi blue) in macy ds with some veeeery nice headlights i decided 2 see if i could get some the same so went on ebay as i usually get my car stuff from there as its cheaper and just as good as anywhere else i found them and still think theyre amazing however.......

look at the price

i paid £60 for my rear lights and assumed the front 1s would be about the same....how wrong i was

anyone know any sites or shops etc where i can get these ive only ever acually seen them on ebay! obviously not as expensive as these though!

for sale section on here when you make £100 posts. just tint the inserts of your lights black for the cost of black spray paint. look much better than angel eyes

Ive seen these lights on rtec so they are about but there like £140-£160 so ebay is cheaper,,and tbf for angels your not gna find them for nothing,,if you spend a bit more money on them then youll feel alright about them as youve saved up or whatever and take care of them.Tbf i will be getting these in a few months and i gotta save to get them.

thanks guys i had a word with a mate and he says that once the sidelight goes in the angel eyes then u cant replace them :s is this true ?? he knows his stuff but im thinking well why would they make lights that if u need to replace a bulb u cant! help !

as far as im aware you cant change the leds in the halos but somebody might have done it some where. But befor you buy them see what kind of garuntee you get with them as they might refund or replace your lights.

I was set on getting angels as well until I saw a car with tinted headlights for a fraction of the price and it looked really good. There's a full How-to on this site as well on how to do it, would rather do it myself and save over £100 than get a pair of angels which will be the first thing to get minced in a crash!

yeah you can but its a pain in the arse to do, did it on my angels.. if ur not confident with electrics i would bother tbh

yeah u can replace all the bulbs easy lol just not the LED's in the halos, u need to take the whole light apart to do those

i dont know how to do it though and would rather have the angel eyes cuz i know they look good whereas ive never seen a car with just the inserts sprayed :s

Spraying inserts is an easy job to do and a few people are selling smoked lights on here contact CitroenSport he is selling a set for £30

I very much doubt that lol, why on earth would someone design a lighting unit where the sidelight be replaced.

Trust me smoked headlights look good if you just want the black look but not the ring on dipped beam. Take a look for peoples pics of smoked lights. Actually check citreonsport's progress thread im sure he will have pics in there.

Oh right ok then yer your only option is angel eyes then. I wouldnt try looking for any under £100 as build quality will be poor. I have not had angel eyes but from friends opinions they are just more hassle than they are worth.

Yes do mate as long as you only paint the backing of the light and not the reflective part which bounces the light from bulb forward i will get pic up of how should look to pass mot.

if they have a 'E' marking they are street legal

Yes angel eyes will pass an mot. Hid headlights sometimes however do not due to them being illegal.
