ive just lowered my suspension eveyrthing is back on just need to tighten up the track rod end nut. however it wont tighten past a couple of turns as the hole ball joint keeps spinning? HELP!!

#2put an allen key in the bottom of the track rod then use a spanner/ratchet spanner on the nut.

#3o no ive renewed them ones its the one that controls the stearing fella. but ive sussed it now tho

#8Track rod ends do not have any allen key inserts
They work on a taper and to stop them spinning you merely have to apply some pressure on the top to prevent it from spinning. Sometimes just a hand on top is enough but sometimes it takes a damn good set of pliers
Just give the thread a good clean first to allow the nut to go on smoothly. Makes things alot easier -

#10put a jack underneath and let the cars weight hold it from spinning

#11nevermind me TRE is upper ball joint isnt it , so you couldnt put a jack under after all
