do you mean the aquamist kit mate??

    http://www.aquamist.co.uk/dc/dc.html

only cars running a lot of boost need this to be hounest i dnt you will be making enough boost in a vts to warrant it but i guess it depends on the spec you are trying to achieve?

is it just the cold water spray onto the intercooler?

it would be good to run the water injection mate, ive has a few turbod cars now and ive run it on all of them.
It simply squirts water under high pressure into the inlet which cools the intake temps and improves combustion.
Keeping the intake temps down is always a good thing as it creates more power and can save melting pistons etc.
Even if your only going to be running low boost it will reduce strain on the engine.

You can run a turbo setup fine without it but every little helps
