Pipercross air filter!

  1. #1
    i took my pipercross air filter off my car today, and put the original air box back on.
    and to be honest my car seems to drive better with the standard on there, even thought it don't sound to great.
    keep it on or leave standard air box on it?

    Performance = Leave the standard one, but de-restrict it and get a performance panel filter.

    Noise = Leave the Pipercross

    Have a search mate, thers plenty on it

    Basically, just making the bends in the piping less sharp, smoothing the inside of the airbox etc

    Many people swear that the OE filter system with good panel filter and de-restricted gives the best results

    People dont tend to do that, but if they do, its only a few, precisely placed ones above the actual filter.

    its not worth drilling, just bore out the cold air intake on the box and run a nice fat old air feed pipe straight into it

    i have the air box, then a pipe coming out of that on to something (duno what it is) and 2 pipes coming of that (one to the manifold and one for the air feed)
    suggestions?

    in that case stick the piper back on, you will never make good power gains on a 1.0 without spending serious money
