Is it using loads of fuel?

    Check lamba sensor
  5. #5
yeh a lil bit, i will check that thnx

only on start up ?? could be a leaky injector, letting fuel run into the cyl, then not burning properly as there is too much on start up

think i have the same problem, ill keep an eye on this thread

white smoke is all the time but the blue smoke when i start but that is due to the rocker cover breather hose letting oil up to the air box and im pretty certain its my lambda thats gone now
    thnx

Does the white smoke clear at all after driving it? If not then head gasket may need replacing. The rocker cover breather hose is normally connected to part of the air intake anyway.

White smoke is water, Blue is oil and Black is fuel IIRC?

White smoke is normally water. Normal for the car to do it until it's warmed up as water consenses inside the exhaust and when the engine runs it evaporates it. If it doesn't go after a while it may be a leaking head gasket. Does it do it more, the longer you leave the car?

yepp, white smoke is water, blue is oil and grey/black is overfueling.

my head gasket went an there was lots of steam and white smoke whihc is caused by the coolant. horrible.

Headgasket on a saxo isnt a massive job tho, especialy on an 8valve like mine.

check my progress thread, i had to do mine a few months ago at work.
