i like it looks very tidy imo
just wondering how difficult it would be to smooth off the holes behind the badges to get that effect ?

its easy mate, but im a perfectionist so im having it done proffesionally. Just a case of remove badges, remove paint arount them, weld the holes up, flat the weld off and prep for paint

    Looks better without them mate.

sounds a lot easier than i'd expected, Would you have to respray the whole boot or touch it up ?
  6. #6
its better to re-spray the lot that way you will get a good colour match.

I like saxo's debadged, yours is really smart, I would go for it, have you had any prices?
  8. #8
yes mate £200 to debadge, remove washer jet (and remove the pipe) and fully re-spray the boot

Saxo's debadged look very nice. Smoother boots though look horrible in my opinion. I'd say do it.
  10. #10
Cool, it looks far better without them... i would go fo it

    Give me £200?

De-badge'in the boot does look sick, just depends if you wanna pay that much. Might as well go for it seeing as its had more or less a complete respray anyway!
  15. #15
its been done on the 29th guys along with a few other bits lol

£200 is quite expensive but............im paying for perfection, its the only place i would trust to go anywhere near my car
  16. #16
if you pay for perfection you'll get perfection, seriously considering doing it to my car now after seeing yours to be fair, looks good.
  17. #17
I prefer it with the badges tbh. But thats just me.
  18. #18
200 is very expensive imo i had mine done and delocked for £160 :|, from a very good bodyshop

My black one's been de-badged for about 4 years now and I wouldn't have it any other way. So much smoother looking and also a damn sight easier to clean!
  20. #20
it looks alot cleaner id also go for de-wipering the back to makes a big difference imo
  21. #21
yer I wud rather pay the £200 then have a garage paint the boot a different colour. Yer I think you should dewiper your car aswell mate. It will make the back end look much smoother.
  22. #22
Looks well better mate, go for it!
  23. #23
    thanks for the comments guys.

yeah mate does make it look much smoother and the badges are a paint in the arse to clean around.

And the £200 price isnt bad at all really. some peoples ideas of good paintwork and mine are completly different i have very high standards. Wish you could see it all at FCS but its just not gonna happen
  25. #25
the place where mine was done for 160 is very very good, look at yates vtr and current vts, my old one was done there think raz's was also cant think who else
  26. #26
im sure everyone can appreciate that there are so many bodyshops out that claim to be good and give crap results, now that i have found this place i wont go anywhere else, im not concerned about saving a few quid when i no these guys will do me proud.
  27. #27
i understand that and fair enuff will look smart when its done, have you asked how much extra it would cost to de lock at same time as they will have the paint ect all ready
  28. #28
ive left the boot lock for a reason mate, emergency entry as the doors are de-locked
  29. #29
ah thats what i ment the doors lol yea i left the boot lock on mine to
