    1. Why do you want it really loud?

    2. Yeah you could decat your car. Looking at pictures its a mark2 so likely hood is that your cat is in your manifold. So if you buy a decent manifold and centre section (straight through no silencer) then it will be louder.

    3. If you want to make it sound even more louder, you could get a big open air filter.

I dont want it really loud but with it at the moment i doesnt sound much better. i sounds how it did before just abit better.
im looking at getting a manifold soon when i save up enough cash. is there nothing i could like take out of the exahst?
i might just put it back on ebay and save up and get a better one (Y)

    thanks for you help mate

Can only take the cat out, but if your cat is in the manifold you will need to buy a manifold.

not sure if buying a new centre section will make any difference? supersprint or something along those lines.

I had a peco backbox and when I first got it on my old car it didnt even sound like it had an exhaust on, but after a few month it got much louder and sounded 10 times better than it did when I bought it. Just wait it might get better or get a full system.

Its not a brand new backbox though. it came off of a 106
got knows how long they had it on, its on alright condition so im guessing its not that old. will it still sound better after a few weeks?

i had a peko exhaust on my saxo and i found if you put a cone air filter in it makes it louder but not overily loud, mine sounded lush when i pulled off, but was quiet when standing still. if i didn't have the air filter one the exhaust was next to useless noise wise, thats what i have done any way thought it might be useful

what about siliencing up a backbox a bit?

anyone know how i could do that?

The backbox hasn't "worn" in yet, the baffles need to get worn for it to be loud, it also will not be very load as you will still have a silencer in the middle.

dont take the cat out youl fail MOT milner
just get a new center section there only like £50 if that

cut the backbox open, rip the baffles out then weld the bit back on you cut off, or burn them out. or just put a vts pipe on it (1 with cat in mani) then it will be straight through to the manifold then just put standerd zorst on for mot
