Sunroof covering

Hi all

Ive removed my sun roof, and it needs covering - Im racing the car so it doesnt need to be perfect, but needs to be sealed and stop things falling in basically

Welding, Ive been advised not too as the roof will warp

Rivet - Its legal, and works fine - But, I was wanting it to look neat and tidy and I cant really smooth it in after

So what does everyone else do?

try a sheet of plexiglass or something, and glue it in.

surely if you weld it on a low setting and leave it to cool it shouldnt warp ?

Roof is spot welded in I think, but the trade can get glue that's stronger than steel now, so that's an option.

On a different note, the vtr wheels are still available if you need to borrow them

I think the perspex idea isnt an option, the window was removed and needed to replaced by something strong really

I think we will give the spot welding a go, even if its just a few points that get done

Im just wanting to get it looking neat, so I can smooth it down a little and get it painted over

And Col101, thanks very much for the offer, but I now have a set that I got for £40!

But, if your willing to sell yours, I will be needing to collect several sets over the next couple of months, so let me know if you wish to part with them
