just an idea, anyone done it before, would it sound much different?cheers

    not worth bothering with imo.

but i reckon a custom exhaust place could make it all fit for you and weld some hangers on if you got a bike can

saxo exhaust system is about 7 foot long, and bike exhaust is about 3 foot long, also the bore on a bike exhaust will probably be completely diff to the saxo, would be a pretty dumb idea IMO

i think he means just the back box

It can be done. I was going to do it. You would need to get the original piping from centre section to backbox and weld that to the bike can so it will be direct fit then. Think the diametre might be different tho so would need a reducer sleeve welded on too. Deffo can be done tho mate easily and iirc the bike cans flow a lot better than cars

    Hope that helps you

Yes it can be done. As said above just adapt the pipework to fit the car's system. I used to have a pair of race cans on mine and it sounded pretty nice imo

been done hundreds of times on show cars in the last 10 years, for those who say it cant be done.

people used to run double bike cans in some cases.

seems silly imo, aint gonna perform as well as an exhaust actually designed to fit best and preform best on the car, with all the bore and dimensions taken into account etc...

The shell is. The important bit isnt

The point is, its just a VTR not a sports car, not everyone buys one buys one to have a fast car.

Its not like fitting a peco to a 30K race engine

Mine wasn't loud raspy really, maybe because I left the centre silencer in. wouldn't sound like a bike in anycase, completely different engine setup

It would need a bike engine to sound like a bike. What your trying to say is if i go buy a ferrari backbox my car will sound like one. You got it all wrong.
And btw if you didn want it to sound like a bike theres something wrong with you, unbelievable noise off them.
