Right, as it was a nice day, my friend and I decided to have a bash at fitting my new ratiator into my VTR as my old rad was literally falling apart
Along with the new rad I have fitted a new thermostat and a new housing and a top hose. A quick guide to what I have fitted and a rough price:-
Genuine Citroen Velo Radiator £35.99 (Egay)
Thermostat £8 (Egay)
Thermostat Housing £4.50 (Egay)
Top rad hose £11 (Citroen)
3Ltrs Comma Anti Freeze £8.49 (wilco)
3Ltrs De-Ionised Water £1.95 (local cheap shop!)
New Rad purchased fro egay. (nice and shiney
)

Gaping hole where the old rad was!

Old rad with fan still attached.

Spot the difference!

Fan on the new rad.

Filling the new rad with my home made header tank.

All in all not too difficult to do, although we had a couple of dramas. One small leak from the new thermostat housing
, which was solved with a bit of instant gasket
and the bolt on the top of the thermostat housing sheared off (again
). But this was solved witha bit of tap and dye and a new bolt. Jobs a good un!
