    Hey guys.

ive finaly decided im going to go down the route of putting boddies on my VTR

Yes i no, i could get more power with an S blah blah, but im doing it the way i want to

Just wondering, what is the wildest cam i can put in my VTR without having any internals changed??

Just to get the best combo of boddies and cam

    Thanks.

EDIT - Also, how much should i expect to pay for a second hand standalone??

708's/ ph3's are the obvious choice.

ph4's are better but when i was doing homework on this iirc they need internals changing. Doubt it would ever pass a MOT with ph4's also. I'll let someone else confirm this shizzle though.

Someones selling a Jenvey TB setup in the forsale section btw mate.

    thanks mate.

Yea i no about the ones for sale at the moment, problem is im going to be buying the parts over a space of time as dont just have a nice wedge of money like £1000 lol wish i did!!

I was thinking PH3's but was unsure if anyone else has tried other brand/models etc

these will be bike boddies btw

catcam 4900645 is the wildest you can go on standard internals well so i have been told and read, but even thats supposed to be a 50/50 next would be the 646 which has 0.3mm less lift, and is has a better clearence

but those cams are for the 106 big bearing heads, go onto rallyereg and have a read on there

theres lotssss of cam info on there for 8v's

i would you use a ph3 with bike bodies. that way you wouldn't need to do much work to the head to run the cam. also bike bodies aren't as big as jenvy kits etc so i would stick with something ph3 or equivalent

I forget who it is but some one does a super stock cam with massive overlap yet low lift so it can fit in a stock engine. I normally used piper or kent so it probably one of them.

But saying this it will not cost you much to get valve cutouts cust in to your pistons and then you run a far more piratical cam. I always like the GMC GM1 cam though you will struggle to pass a cat MOT. I always puled in injector plug off and they a flew though a none cat MOT running on 3
