noisey engine bay

   hey peeps
   
   woz wondering if u could point me in the rite direction as in where the problem is
   
   the problem is when i start the car cold it's makin a noise as if the drive belt is loose or summin but it's nicely on there & as soon as the engine warms up the noise just goes away?
   
   any1 else with this problem or any1 else knows wots up??

   do you mean alt belt or cam belt??? it could be anything mate without hearing the noise...sorry

   it sounds like the same prob i have matey which is somthing to do with the clutch barring!!

   sounds lk the wallet is in 4 a slammin en or is it cheapish 2 fix????? wots involved?? just a new bearing?

   Usually clutch rattle is due to release bearing and it goes away when the clutch is de-pressed.
   
   If its squeeling, it sounds like the alternator belt (drive belt). I had to re-tension Suie's last week as it was squeeling when cold.
   
   Its only a 2 second job, involving two spanners.
   
   The belt should be tensioned so that you can twist it by about 45 degrees. (approx... in my opinion )

    if it only takes 2 secs simo fancy coming and fixing mine then??

    clutch bearing wear wont give you a squeel only clunking, rattling, juddering when moving away. adjust the drive belt/s and see if that works
