What gear box??

    Afternoon, can someone please gimme a bit of advice ive got hold of a vtr engine with ecu loom transponder etc but no gear box, question is do i need to get a vtr gear box or will any fit straight on to engine?, regards Lee

    nice one pal really appreciate it had little saxo shell parked up for ages now, get engine tomorrow so should be up and running pretty soon touch wood, regards Lee

    as said the whole range of the ma boxes will fit

    there are a few different gear sets and final drive combos about
    the vtr box is faily longest pretty much
    keep an eye out for a vts box as its a nice upgrade to shorter ratios but not too short for motorways ect

    or there are a few 106 gearboxes that are a bit shorter again
    s1 106 rallye is the shortest setup
    then a 1.4 xsi is next
    and the s2 rallye is a tad sorter than the vts

    the boxes i list have a bigger diff in that i would say to try and keep in the vtr as the 1.1 and 1.4 saxo boxes have a smaller slightly weaker diff in thatll work but i wouldnt trust it
