fuel comsuption

i dunno if its just me but my car seems to be drinking petrol, i get bout 270 off a full tank if im lucky its a 2001 vtr, what could the probs be it still got plenty of go so dnt think engine probs or is is just cuz i use the right boot alot? what can i get done to get more mpg? ive got bmc enclosed filter gone back to standard exhasut and thats it. cheers guys

i sell somethin on ebay. its kind of a homemade device but it works mint. search for "FUEL SAVER MAX" there £3 buy it now. i only used to get about 270 on my vtr for a full tank. i get nearly 350 everytime now if fitted one of these. no pipe cutting or anything!

Sorry but will fuck beleive that you are selling something for 3 pounds that will improve fuel economy to those levels until you explain how this device works. I dont care how its made or whatever but your going to have to reveal the secret.

My vtr did 400 miles to a tank every single time, 472 was its record

you can think what you want im not losing out on ote with you not beleiving me!

il tell you how it works but cant tell everyone how you do it or every1 will be makin and sellin them!

it basically ionioses the atoms in your fuel causing them to repel each other. this helps them all to burn better and gives you a more optimum burn.saving fuel and if anything it can slightly increase power not give you less power.
as i say if you choose to beleive me then do so but if not who cares! im the one saving fuel along with the others that have them on there cars!

this will be a test. its best to take te reading over say a full tank to get a better concept of fuel saving whoever the first two people are must report on how much they are saving after they have had it on for a full tank

Isnt it just a strong as fuk magnet???

Not going to be mega geeky or owt but i'm not entirely sure you can ionise a hydrocarbon - thought it was just metallic atoms.

not really just a strong magnet. this method does have a magnetic element to it but thats only part of it theres placement and other materials in the actual solid fuel saving composite itself.

doesnt it involve two magnets wraped around the fuel line that helps to split and increase the numbers of atoms and in theory! creating more to burn! ill take a free one in the name of testing if you like we have five cars in my house and if it works youll have 4 more customers

ratty were the ones laughin at you for not havin one. you can post up all your theories as to why you think it wont work but as a matter of fact it just happens to work!

like i say if anyone off sax-p wants one then search ebay for "fuel saver max" if you buy and let me no your from sax-p i will send you £1.50 back through paypal. for some people, the only way believe it works is to try it! i sent the two free trials out today to NAX and SAXONATOR. just wait for them to post up tellin everyone it works if no-one believes me!
peoples mileage will differ from car to car with whatever engine mods they have. usually the more engine mods you have the less mileage you'll get

lol no spence it doesnt work, as if it did, even "slighly" then why are car manufacturers not using them, infact why arnt ANY manufacturers using them, even on lawn mowers etc. Its because you get it into your head that it does, when it really doesnt. You can say all you want about it but its as good as one of those ebay resistors and should be put in the bin. Everyone gives it a go as its only £3 and then thinks it works when it wont do didly.

i dont know why manufacturers dont use them! why dont manufacturers use 4-2-1 or 4-1 manifolds on their cars? its just another expense for them!

no its not another expense, they have to get the BEST FUEL ECONOMY and PASS Emissions, they wouldnt miss a chance to get more per customers £ on fuel, specially if it only cost £3.50.

and they dont use 4-1 manifolds etc as they also want FUEL ECONOMY for the sake of a 2bhp.

I've had a little think about this and gone over some of my old uni notes, seems pretty likely that ionised hydrocarbons could produce a better burn per droplet than a non-ionised droplet.

gonna have a hunt on the net for some more specific info on it now...

SPENCER.... any chance of getting these things on a diesel fuel line? am i gonna need four of these things (for each injector)???

Also what magnet you using? is it neodymium?

infact if you read both articles posted by adslayer, the second proves it doesnt work, even over a prolonged period, the first cant tell you why it claims it works or cant claim why it doesnt work, and the line:

"It may therefore be of quite general usefulness, provided certain design rules are carefully followed" <--which wont be on a £3.50 version although there is no proof it does work (back to that otherwise all manufacturers would use it)

ill say no more on this and let anyone take their own opinion.

When I drove back up to Uni last week I used less than half a tank going from Brighton to Sheffield (220 Miles) then Sheffield to Huddersfield (30 Miles). Thats 250 Miles to less than half a tank in a Westie with a K&N (Soon to be BMC) Filter and standard exhaust.

That was FULLY loaded with 2 people.

My fuel comsumption is GREAT!

Right just found out that when i bought my car it had a De-Cat also! would this cause bad fuel comsumption!
