-
#3u could just learn to drive sensibly
-
#4u gona put instructios up how to make 1 then? do you loose any power with it?Quote:Originally Posted by SPENCER6i sell somethin on ebay. its kind of a homemade device but it works mint. search for "FUEL SAVER MAX" there £3 buy it now. i only used to get about 270 on my vtr for a full tank. i get nearly 350 everytime now if fitted one of these. no pipe cutting or anything!

#5I get about 170 Miles to a full tank in my VTS
-
#6bloddy hell we could do with 10 of them things then. hehe
-
#7270 is about norm mate town and motorway driving
-
#8i put £39 in my mk1 vtr the last time i filled it up, and got 350miles.
-
#9ID POST UP HOW TO DO IT BUT ID BE LOSING MONEY WUDN'T I!
IF YOU BUY ONE AND LET ME NO UR A SAXP MEMBER IL SELL YA 1 FOR HALF PRICE! £1.50. IL JUST SEND £1.50 BACK TO YOU THROUGH PAYPAL AFTER YOU HAVE BOUGHT IT! -
#10lol thats been around for years and was never proven to work.
-
#11if it did why dont GM put them on all their cars?
-
#12Sorry but will fuck beleive that you are selling something for 3 pounds that will improve fuel economy to those levels until you explain how this device works. I dont care how its made or whatever but your going to have to reveal the secret.
My vtr did 400 miles to a tank every single time, 472 was its record -
#13my 2.0 16v does about 300 to a tank
-
#14i swear on my mothers life this works like fuck and you can look at all of my good feedback from them on ebay! iv sold loads! my username is 6abney.
you can think what you want im not losing out on ote with you not beleiving me!
il tell you how it works but cant tell everyone how you do it or every1 will be makin and sellin them!
it basically ionioses the atoms in your fuel causing them to repel each other. this helps them all to burn better and gives you a more optimum burn.saving fuel and if anything it can slightly increase power not give you less power.
as i say if you choose to beleive me then do so but if not who cares! im the one saving fuel along with the others that have them on there cars! -
#15the only way to see if it works is to try it people. i think you should gime some out for free and try and convince the forum that it really does work.
-
#16what a lot of rubbish.
Why on earth wouldnt every manufacturer under the sun fit them?! -
#17That very low that mark I'd have that looked at mate.Quote:Originally Posted by starkieI get about 170 Miles to a full tank in my VTS

-
#18yup that sounds faulty lambda time
-
#19i get 70 on £10 of petrol in mine. thats round the doors.
-
#20my petrol goes quick because i always floor the right foot LOL my car hates going slow LMBO! © sax-p
LOL ask simo how much he gets to a full tank??? -
#21Quote:Originally Posted by danvtr_9That very low that mark I'd have that looked at mate.Quote:Originally Posted by starkieI get about 170 Miles to a full tank in my VTS

Hmm doesnt sound good. How can i check if the lambda sensor is dodgy..Quote:Originally Posted by Scottyup that sounds faulty lambda time
Any thing else to check? -
#22Im sure a garage would be able to do a diagnostic check to see if its working alright.
-
#23tell you what. the first two people to put there address up on this post i will send one to free of charge. bearing in mind i will still have to pay for postage & packaging!
-
#24this will be a test. its best to take te reading over say a full tank to get a better concept of fuel saving whoever the first two people are must report on how much they are saving after they have had it on for a full tank
-
#25Starkie, 170 to a tank.. !!
My turbo was better than that !
-
#26anyone want one these for free or what?
-
#27Mine does 300 mile at a push on a full tank doing town driving. This is with a occasional heavy foot. lol.
-
#28not for me but thanks for the offerQuote:Originally Posted by SPENCER6anyone want one these for free or what?

#29iv already got one ready to post for "saxonator" who pm'd me there is one more goin for a free trial.
scott im not really fussed if you wan't one or not. whats the point in putting up a post saying you dont want one? im asking people that do! -
#30Ye might aswell giv it a whirle nowt els for me to be gettin up to and if its gonna be for a debate like this its only a car afterall lol
-
#31exactly! and what you got to lose matey your gettin it for free!!!
ya just cant please some people! -
#32second one has gone! sent to "NAX"
also, saxonator you need to pm me you adress! -
#33Isnt it just a strong as fuk magnet???Quote:Originally Posted by SPENCER6i swear on my mothers life this works like fuck and you can look at all of my good feedback from them on ebay! iv sold loads! my username is 6abney.

Not going to be mega geeky or owt but i'm not entirely sure you can ionise a hydrocarbon - thought it was just metallic atoms. -
#34not really just a strong magnet. this method does have a magnetic element to it but thats only part of it theres placement and other materials in the actual solid fuel saving composite itself.
Your on the right lines though bud! -
#35^^lol at anyone who thinks this works.
-
#36doesnt it involve two magnets wraped around the fuel line that helps to split and increase the numbers of atoms and in theory! creating more to burn! ill take a free one in the name of testing if you like we have five cars in my house and if it works youll have 4 more customers
-
#37i can get 400 to a tank already so im good taQuote:Originally Posted by SPENCER6anyone want one these for free or what?
-
#38i get 300 to a tank every time, as long as i'm not driving like a nutter. mines the same as Boz's though - doesn't like to crawl along like miss daisy
record was 396 on the way back from the Xmas Bash at the start of this month. could've gone further but the light was about to come on & i was passing the petrol station -
#39I can get 700 miles a tank BO!
I saw a some article in a car magazine and they reckoned it was a load of kak. But for £1.50 or whatever I'd be willing to try
-
#40i get bout 330 to a full tank in my 2001 vtr
-
#41ratty were the ones laughin at you for not havin one. you can post up all your theories as to why you think it wont work but as a matter of fact it just happens to work!
like i say if anyone off sax-p wants one then search ebay for "fuel saver max" if you buy and let me no your from sax-p i will send you £1.50 back through paypal. for some people, the only way believe it works is to try it! i sent the two free trials out today to NAX and SAXONATOR. just wait for them to post up tellin everyone it works if no-one believes me!
peoples mileage will differ from car to car with whatever engine mods they have. usually the more engine mods you have the less mileage you'll get -
#42lol no spence it doesnt work, as if it did, even "slighly" then why are car manufacturers not using them, infact why arnt ANY manufacturers using them, even on lawn mowers etc. Its because you get it into your head that it does, when it really doesnt. You can say all you want about it but its as good as one of those ebay resistors and should be put in the bin. Everyone gives it a go as its only £3 and then thinks it works when it wont do didly.
-
#43look i know how much mileage i used to get and how much i get now even with the engine mods iv got im still 60-70miles better off per tank!
-
#44i dont know why manufacturers dont use them! why dont manufacturers use 4-2-1 or 4-1 manifolds on their cars? its just another expense for them!
-
#45no its not another expense, they have to get the BEST FUEL ECONOMY and PASS Emissions, they wouldnt miss a chance to get more per customers £ on fuel, specially if it only cost £3.50.
and they dont use 4-1 manifolds etc as they also want FUEL ECONOMY for the sake of a 2bhp. -
#46im gona try it and if it works dont work i will tell ya straight. simple as that. then its up to you if you want don't want to belive it.
-
#47I dont believe it no matter what you say because its impossible, more the fool you, carry on
-
#48ok thats up to you. no harm in tryin is there.
-
#49this is true, its your car
-
#50ok,
I've had a little think about this and gone over some of my old uni notes, seems pretty likely that ionised hydrocarbons could produce a better burn per droplet than a non-ionised droplet.
gonna have a hunt on the net for some more specific info on it now...
SPENCER.... any chance of getting these things on a diesel fuel line? am i gonna need four of these things (for each injector)???
Also what magnet you using? is it neodymium?
ta! -
#51rite,
if you can be arsed have a look at these...
Wierd fuel saving device 1
Wierd fuel saving device 2
make up your own mind. -
#52Why cant you be open minded about this mate? Nothings impossible, and if you havnt tried it, then how will you ever know?!Quote:Originally Posted by RattyI dont believe it no matter what you say because its impossible, more the fool you, carry on
-
#53im sure if i drove mine really sensible, i could get well over 350 on a full tank, i mite give it a go in the name of science LOL
i probly wont last 10 mins without putting my right foot down to the floor
-
#54boz if your bad now imagin when ya get the turbo straped on. be like that new bugate.
-
#55
I have tried it, many moons ago, like i said earlier, they arnt anything new hence my reasons for saying its bollox. -
#56infact if you read both articles posted by adslayer, the second proves it doesnt work, even over a prolonged period, the first cant tell you why it claims it works or cant claim why it doesnt work, and the line:
"It may therefore be of quite general usefulness, provided certain design rules are carefully followed" <--which wont be on a £3.50 version although there is no proof it does work (back to that otherwise all manufacturers would use it)
ill say no more on this and let anyone take their own opinion. -
#57no harm in trying for nothing is there.
-
#58i dont get many miles to mine and i dont know why
-
#59Manufacturers dont use them as they dont work. I wont use one as it doesnt work.
In fact i could use one of these and combine it with one of those stupid bloody ecotec things and get 134234 miles to a tank.
Try away folks -
#60if it doesnt work i think a nice apology would go down well
-
#61any news yet lads?
-
#62somebody says its not worth 10p and it dont work!.. i know a good way to save petrol... starve your engine of the stuff!
-
#63ha ha im about the sameQuote:Originally Posted by starkieI get about 170 Miles to a full tank in my VTS

its too tempting when the power is there
-
#64Iv not had time to fit mine but itl be going on tomorrow then off to get a full tank of fuel and let the experiment begin
sorry for the delay -
#65i aint had time either. i will have to put it on this weekend when i have some light top work in. long hours at work. go to work in the dark finish in the dark. bloody hate it.
-
#66that person was just pissed off. when he received the item he sent a message through ebay sayin "this is nothin like the fuel saver i bought for my girlfriends car, i cost me £14.99 and looks nothin like what you have sent!"Quote:Originally Posted by citroenaxgtrsomebody says its not worth 10p and it dont work!.. i know a good way to save petrol... starve your engine of the stuff!
its not gonna be the same thing for a fifth of the price is it!!!
he never even tried the thing before leavin negative feedback! what an arse! -
#67ANYONE HEARD OTE YET GUYS?
-
#68i havent yet done it on a full tank. have done it on £20 i got a few miles more from petrol light to petrol light got about 3 to 4 miles more.
-
#6940 quid to fill the tank and i get about 100 miles to a tenner.
2001 (Y) VTR totally standard tho, fuck knows what it will be like with the BMC and exhaust -
#70When I drove back up to Uni last week I used less than half a tank going from Brighton to Sheffield (220 Miles) then Sheffield to Huddersfield (30 Miles). Thats 250 Miles to less than half a tank in a Westie with a K&N (Soon to be BMC) Filter and standard exhaust.
That was FULLY loaded with 2 people.
My fuel comsumption is GREAT!
-
#71Right just found out that when i bought my car it had a De-Cat also! would this cause bad fuel comsumption!
