Important! : Help - left speakers cut out?

  1. #1
Hey, iave had this problem befor with a previous saxo and i was wandering if anyone could help atall. The left side of the car has no sound, from rear or front. It sometimes used to almost "crack" into place and come on, and then "snap" back off - sometimes it could be on for weeks and then randomly go off. The problem is, i have new door speakers for the front pair & 6x9s i want to wire into the rear speakers but im worried only one side will work, thus a waste of time.

Im assuming there may be a loose wire/connection or even a blown fuse. Has this happened to anyone else? or anyone know of an answer?

    Its a mrk 2 1.4 furio 2002.

    thanks Jay*

re-wire that speaker IMO. Maybe broken inside if its been snagged? Then that would prove if its the wire from the headunit to the speaker is the problem.

theres a whire thats cut and reconnecect by the attual wire metels being twisted together (the lad befor me must have done it) and there it a white cable thats nt plugged in anywhere with a head on it,. but no where for it to go lol...

i'm guessing. there should be a 2 plugs. 1 for power and 1 for speakers. one with 8 wires is the speakers and one with 4/5 is power.

i would say tape the bare wire.

try and take some pictures so we know what we looking at.

Maybe your fader was just over to the right so you couldnt hear the left? I've done this a few times by accident.

lol tryed that mate, its the front and back left speaker. my fader lets me mess about with moving sound left, right front & back all at once, front and back right are all fine, left front and back, not a sound
