Why would you do that?
If he buys a whole rear beam from a VTR he can just bolt off his old one, bolt on his new one and only needs to change the handbrake cables, rather than fannying around with ARB's and taking the Torsion bars out etc.
Plus the added bonus of having a rear disc beam, I wouldn't bother buying a 1.1/Furio one mate, it's still drum brakes, and unless you can get one significantly cheaper, you may as well go for a VTR beam which is disc brakes. Just that tiny bit better stopping power if needed, could make all the difference one day.
An entire second hand beam from a VTR in good condition should cost around £120-150 so isn't even that expensive.
