Matt Black Respray?

    Hi.

    Cant seem the find anything...

    I remember a while back seeing a matt black saxo on here... cant find the picture now.

    I also read that its done by a film or something...

    Any ideas? Just looking into it for the future

    rtec do it its like a rap that goes over your car i see a white and green one in mat being done there it looked good.
    they said about 1500 to do my saxo mat blue

    spray it matt yourself with rattle cans, its not like you will fuck it up... matt hardly streaks

    yer, if your doing the whole lot, and in a matt black you cant go wrong, just dont get bits of dust and grit in it and it will be all good

    EDIT: imo matt black doesnt look good though, but prove me wrong

    there was a saxo with the rear quarters welded up to make it a saxo van then fully sprayed matt black. thought it looked orite tbh

    There was, but wasnt it just sheet metal windows as appose to welded shut rear windows? Was at fcs08 iirc... looked decent either way

    Big fan off Matt Black

    Personally i'd have a go at doing it myself.
    Be a heck of a lot cheaper and mistakes are pretty limited.

    if you laquer it wont it make it gloss, then if you dont laquer it will chip?

    You can do it yourself with rattle cans but it will look patchy in some angels and under certain lights at night.

    There is a guy on gti forum with mk3 golf that did it.

    I dont have the patience lol.

    Ive been spraying grile + mirror caps today and yeah... had to sand down 3 times for 1 mirror cap and got annoyed so threw it in a bucket of water

    But all done now

    Mines painted professionally in satin black, if you go for matt black the colour starts to go grey but mine is still black as anything!
    It wasn't cheap to do mind.
