#2noone can answer this question as the speedo is not accurate, so you would need to get a top speed RR done or use GPS ( a proper one not some crappy cheapo thing)
-
#3Who said the speedo was out? and by how much?
-
#4it will be out they all are it will be about 7mph out at that speed going by my speedo
-
#5Cheers mate. So is it 7mph above or below? I am presuming above lol. and does only happen at higher speeds?
-
#67 mph above so your not going as fast as you think you are
the faster you go the more out it gets i think its about 2 mph out at the 30mph -
#7awrite cheers, so really i was doing just over 100 yesterday which means i need it at 117 lol.
-
#8yeah mate well im not sayin its goin to be 7 for certain think the gap reduces with the bigger the wheels iirc dont hold me to it though
-
#9Well i got 195/45 15" on mine, which i believe are non standard on westcoasts as i still have the 14" spare.
-
#10
yeah mate westcoasts do come with 14'
fitting bigger wheels will make a little difference
but once you reach a certain high limit the speedo will lie!!!! -
#11So if i have a 14" spare, if i have a flat i cudnt really but this on? Must admit with the wider tyres it handles like a dream.
-
#12best thing to do is say what size tyres you have, what size wheels, the revs and the gearbox etc (gearbox being standard or swapped to vts etc) and we can tell you what you were really doing.

#14hence the reason why the police give you 10% leway for going through speed cameras
-
#15speedo is miles out on saxos mate, road angel tells me true speed and the speedo is way out once you hit 100mph
-
#16So iv told mate yeah. oh well, not to worry! Promised myself i wont take it over 100 from now on lol.

#17You could time yourself between those distance markers on motorways at a steady speed. see what the difference between calculated and indicated speed is.
