Sticky stuff removal?

   How can I remove sticky stuff from the car without damaging the paintwork? I have just removed the tape from the door cant remember what its called but some sticky crap stayed on there and i dont want to use white spirit because it faded the paint on my old car

   well i have just tested a patch on the inside of the boot to see if the paint fades and it does remembering that my vts is mariticious (sp) blue

   i just picked it with my nail and worked on it with t-cut!

   I have heard a fudge wheel is good for it but have no idea where to get one from these days and tar remover is quite good but im skint and cant get either lol

   little bit off acetone u should beable to get it from a pharmacy were i work ( lloyds pharmxy) its 1.09 and we use it to get chewing gum off chairs , floors alsorts

   yeah nail polish remover. with ACETONE! removes window tinting glue as i found out

    hair dryer and a matalan card lol thats what i used heated it up and pushed it all off with the card

    go to halfords and buy glue remover i used it on my window to get rid of a saxo sticker.
    
    leave it on for a couple of minutes and then it all comes off
