still don;t say how to bend it in, dunno if i'm being a noob, but i assume u over size cut it and then bend the overlap in then glue it, but surely doing this leaves dents n dips in the mesh

I'm in the same boat as you on this one but i would hazard a guess to say that yes cut it slightly oversize leaving some excess to bond it to the bumper ? as for leaving dips and dents in the mesh, perhaps cutting the corners on the mesh to make a better bend could prevent this? I'm sure someone on here will know much better than me.

then if the bend isn;t excact either then the mesh won;t sit properly either, only want to do it this way cos i like it better than having it sat back like the grill mesh.

looked at it this morning and wondered weather i could just lay the mesh over the slats and cut slits in the mesh to go over the slats

hmm, i can see where you are coming from but im no help on this one as i haven't ever meshed anything, going to do my grill like you have, you have done yours really nice with the gap in there for the bonnet lever, what did you use on the edge of the mesh ?

i think laying the mesh over the slats sounds tricky but i haven't seen it done, could look good.

for the bonnet hole i cut up a usb cable, sliced one side out and pulled wires out and it sat on the mesh fine then just super glued it on
