laws on tinting rear lights

   i am thinking bout tinting my rear lights. not too dark but a smoked tint. how does the law stand on this? i dont wanna give police cause to pull me over.

   you can tint them but the lights have to visible in the day time and the brake lights have to be clearly visible.
   
   the reflectors also have to be visible (don't paint over them) or if you do paint over them then you will have to (by law) put reflectors on your bootlid/rear bumper. your car will not go through an mot without some form of reflector on the back.
   
   They normally come out reasonably well if you mix the paint with shit loads of lacquer. it gives a very dark appearance but the lights are completely visible.

   mine are done black as black can be mate can just see the lights through them in the day nights okay and ive never been pulled for them.

   i can understand what your saying but countless amounts of people i know have gone through legitimate m.o.t's with them tinted but with the reflector left normal.

   one way to do it is to by a pair ov tights and stretch them arond the lights quit tight mit eneed to of you to do it but looks good and givea a tinted affect i know loads ov boys that have done it nd they just pull them on and off for the M.O.Ts

   what else do you to your car after? put electrical tape on the headlights for light brows?

    Just get some MK1 rear lights, theyre pretty smoked anyway imo.
