Average VTS Engine Prices?

   Well i'm going to pick up my vts engine from a guy in Inverness just wondered what like a price anyone would pay for a vts engine in this day, It comes with unlocked ecu, new timing belt etc everything except a manifold and claims there's 70k on the engine but no proof. Prices?

   For a reasonably high mileage one (like 70,000) your probably looking average of about £150-250 depending on Service History, how much rust, condition of the actual engine etc. Do you get to see it running first?

   i paid 250 for mine on 65k, with ecu and loom, inlet, tb, manifold and radiator. my ecu wasnt unlocked though

   Well the guy wont take a penny less than £350, Seems a little steep. I'll add some pics of said engine in a second, Keep updated

   £350 sounds quite fair to me as an unlocked ecu alone is worth £80+. i have seen 16v engines for around the £250 mark, but i didn't look at what that included.
   
   imo, the 16v engine is the one everyone wants so they won't drop in value either.
