PUG Sport Rear Damper, knackered???

  1. #1
I have a set of PUG Sport Rear Dampers (Tarmac)
and one of them is slightly leaking a red oil. just a drip but still not good.
    Can i get these fixed?
they cost a lot so could do without having to replace them/it.

    If so, where and how?

    cheers for any help

I get the feeling you will be buying a new pair

Are you talking the gold ones or the ones that just look like stock ones? The gold ones were rebuldable but I forget who does it these days.

Not sure if they used to be Gold or not. I got them off "Bic" when i bought the wide track rear end from him. They are painted black but i remember them going on his car, ages ago on a old thread.

If its a wide track by using the ally blocks on the trailing arms and longer stub then any shock to fit the normal saxo beam will fit. You can just use a set of billies to replace them. If its just a road or track day car you can just keep using the ones you have till they really fail. If its a race/rally car best to get new ones.

yea it is so i could change but really like the feeling of the setup as it is. it all feels matched up and solid without "crashing/Banging" on the slightest bump like on the billies.

To be Honest i can say that the following setup is the best i have ever driven/felt/owned and on both track and public road. (106/saxo)

    Front

    removed front ARB

PSF tarmac front inserts 300lb fualkner springs (plus helpers, etc on coilover conversion, solid tops/plates)

    Rear

    PSF rear dampers (tarmac)
    23mm torsion bars
    25.5mm ARB (spooks)

poly bushes etc, no strut braces but SD cage, weld in sump Guard kit (super rigid).
also Quaiffe ATB + c/r gearset

its like on rails and still no way as harsh as my last bille setup.

Proper grown bloke tears about the shocker being non serviceable though
