Will a 106 idle control valve fit a saxo? UPDATED _ PROBLEM!

  1. #1
IN specifics, found a 106 in the scrappy today which had the EXACT same engine layout as my westcoast. Like identical engines.

Thus, would the idv valve fit my saxo off there?

    i was guessing it would?

Take it off and look at the code near the plug will be B something B12 B18 etc.. if they match then yes you are good to go

Thanks for that... Do they just pull out or do they need unscrewing?

2 screws, you might have to take out the tps first so 4 screws, all torx. T20 iirc

just take the whole throttle body so you have a few spare sensors thell only charge a fiver for the lot or a fiver for the sensor thats how most of them work lol took me ages to realise it could of saved a fourtune

How do you know the one you got from the scrappy worked?

Could be one of sooo many other things matey, look at me and the cherry for example, spent alot on new sensors and thus far still not sorted the problem

I think its linked to the lambda sensor not being plugged into the downpipe....

cant get it in atm and the mixture is probably wrong in the engine, thus making it cut out

Sounds like it. I would of done that first. could be blocked up fuel injectors?

I cant get it undone... the screws too tight on the lambda plug so i cant get it out
